Event Branding Checklist: Keeping Every Touchpoint Consistent
Event branding appears across many separate items, including stage graphics, directional signs, invitations and display materials. Planning them as one system helps attendees understand the event and recognise the organiser.
Create an inventory of touchpoints
List what guests will see before arrival, at entry and throughout the venue. Include digital invitations, registration areas, wayfinding and presentation backgrounds where relevant. Assign a purpose to each item. Directional signs need immediate clarity, while a photo backdrop may prioritise brand visibility and camera framing.
Use one approved artwork source
Provide the same logo files, colours and naming conventions to every supplier. Agree dimensions before artwork is finalised and check that sponsor or partner logos are used as approved. Keep long wording off items viewed from a distance. Review small print and digital assets separately because they have different readability requirements.
Check placement at the venue
Confirm visibility, lighting and the path guests will follow. Make sure signs are not hidden by furniture or obstructed by queues. Allow for final checks before attendees arrive. Maintain an installation list and an owner for each item so the branding plan remains practical when several suppliers are working at the same time.
